Tornado Farewell 9-Ship Flypast

A 'nine-ship' Tornado flypast over College Hall at RAF Cranwell took place on 28th February, as the Royal Air Force said farewell to the aircraft which has served it for the last 40 years. The sortie took off from RAF Marham in Norfolk, where I positioned myself, to mark the retirement of the jets as they prepare to leave service in March and make way for the new F35 Lightning fighters. This sortie was especially for fans and AvGeeks, with a display over RAF Marham after heading over Cranwell. The nine aircraft formation was tailed by a Hawk trainer to record footage.
