Village in Zambia

For many of our long-haul trips, we like to book through a tour operator called Abercrombie and Kent. They have a business division called Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy (AKP), which is dedicated to helping communities where they travel to. They work with partner communities on education, health care, conservation and enterprise development projects. As part of this effort, we went to visit a village near Livingstone in Zambia where AKP have funded a school, sanitation projects and set up businesses specifically to be run by women. Here’s a few shots of what’s going on.
