New Botswana Safari - Hyenas

In my mind much maligned, there is no doubt that the spotted hyena is a fearsome predator. Living in family groups they both hunt and scavenge, and will steal kills off leopards and cheetahs; even solitary lions have to be very wary. They apparently have the third strongest bite in the animal kingdom after great white sharks and Nile crocodiles. I’m glad I wasn't the one who had to find this out.
