RIAT 2019

Having been looking forward to RIAT this year for months, it was a great disappointment on the day for the weather to be singularly awful. Persistent rain all morning and low cloud all day meant that there was virtually no flying done at all. The exception, and the highlight for many people, was the appearance of the Spanish Navy’s AV-8B mk 2 Harriers, one of which put on a superb display. In any case, here’s a few shots of the limited activity, including the Romanian Mig-21 that I had really wanted to see, but never flew.
