St Patrick's Day Parade. London

The London St Patrick's Day Festival, now approaching its 17th year, attracts more than 125,000 people to events across London and to the parade and festival in central London and Trafalgar Square. I went to see the parade as it passed down Piccadilly, with a variety of floats from the sublime to the ridiculous via the plain bizarre. The most interesting thing of course was the people, including, for reasons unknown to me, a load of dancers from South America. They added a different shade of colour to the ubiquitous green and orange.
